Pastry Chef
Responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Is responsible for production of pastry shop and preparation of requirements on time.
- Supervises banquet/ buffet set ups / food display for pastry outlet, he is designated to.
- Responsible for maintaining highest quality of menus, presentation and quality of section in charge.
- He/she is responsible for storing food stuffs at Fridges as well as checking of nes received goods well and equipment.
- He/she is responsible for storing food stuffs at fridges as well as checking of new received goods as well as storage and distribution (first in - first out)
- Enforces and sets example for staff in hygiene, clean uniform shaven appearance, sobriety, sanitation and grooming as per Executive Chef / Employee hand book.
- Responsible for roasters, schedules and work plans as well as store requisition procedures as directed by Executive Chef.
- Adheres himself + enforces time keeping of staff at all times.
- Supports Executive Chef / Souschef at training courses if requested.
- Supervises staff handling equipment, cleaning and reports technical / mechanical faults immediately to Executive Chef / Chief Engineer
- Compiles weekly report on section / pastry maintenance and short comings of steward department.
- Report on follow up pastry repairs / maintenance by engineering.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
- Required skill(s): hard worker, creative, innovative, loyal, experience in at least 4 or 5 stars hotel as a pastry chef.
- Required language(s): English
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Bali.
- Preferably Manager / Assistant Managers specializing in Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service or equivalent.
